Ingredients
Black Rice (Kavuni arisi) - 1Cup
Jaggery - 1/2cup
Coconut - 1/4 Cup (Grated)
Cardamom Powder - 1tbsp
Sugar or Honey - 2tbsp
Ghee -3/4 Cup
Almonds (skin peeled and Chopped) - 20
Cashew nuts (chopped) - 9
Method
- Wash and soak Black rice for two hours, then drain water, spread over a cotton cloth and leave for an hour
- Heat a Pan, add black rice and dry roast for 5 minutes on low flame, till you get the nice aroma of rice, finally add 2 tbsp ghee mix it well and leave aside let it cool.
- Heat a pan, add 2 tbsp of ghee and Roast cashews, raisins and Chopped almonds and keep aside.
- Heat a pan add 1tbsp of ghee add coconut, roast till its light brown color.
- Put Roasted Black Rice into a mixer jar and grind to fine powder.
- Add jaggery and sugar or honey into the ground black rice mixture.
- Grind the Dry fruits and nuts into powder, finally add it to the Black rice, at last, add coconut mixture into the black rice mixture roast it in low flame for four minutes.
- Add hot ghee and mix well, remove it from a stove and cool it.
- Now make laddu out of the mixture and enjoy the taste with your family.
